Glass and clay fascinate me for many of the same reasons. The challenge, the versatility, the fire, the process from soft and yielding to cold and still, and the community atmosphere that surrounds the medium. The major difference for me, and one that I cannot fully explain, is that more often than not when making glass object I choose to go functional, as opposed to clay, where sculpture is my passion.
